“Generación X” is a non-profit agency that works to prevent gang violence, promote human rights and to aid the re-integration of youth who are ready to take steps to change their lives through peer counseling.
Jovel Miranda, the Director of Generación X stands beside a wall mural project he supervised. The organization provides mutual support and opportunities for youth who wish to leave gangs.
Founding member, Jovel Miranda engages former gang members in activities including cultural expression and educational outreach and helps those who wish to leave gangs with removal of tattoos and referrals to educational and employment opportunities that will enable them to start life anew.
