ROCA
Roca means rock in Spanish. Founded in 1988 ROCA has grown from a small volunteer organization to a nationally recognized leader in the field of intervention. Roca employs Peace Circles as part of the conflict resolution process and makes a long term commitment to the youth they serve.
“We are creating a foundation as solid as a rock for young people to change their lives through truth, trust and transformation. Many of our young people are drops-outs or truants, substance abusers, gang members, have extensive criminal records, are young parents themselves and/or come from broken homes without the income to support basic living requirements. Few programs attempt to serve them and even fewer have demonstrated success in altering their life outcomes. This is Roca’s work.”
