Honduras: Pais Poesible

Reading is a festival in a poetry possible country.

An imaginative project of a group of Honduran poets and writers to publish and distribute free of charge pocket sized editions of world poetic and literary classics. With sponsorship from companies such as Digicell who donate printing costs, they have placed stories by Oscar Wilde and the Gitanjali “song offerings” of the revered Indian poet Rabindranth Tagore in the hands of peasants and gang members in villages and prisons throughout Honduras. The group’s goal is to create a country of readers by delivering a million free books into the people’s hands.
